Why do I get “Your message has been sent but was shortened to add your nickname.”

When you send a message we always add your nickname to make sure people know it’s from you.

By default we limit the message length to 462 characters, so if your message with your nickname is longer than this we have to cut the end of your message off.

It’s possible for your ZygoHub to send longer messages (to a maximum of 770 characters). If you need to send longer messages, simply mail us at support@zygocommunications.com and we will increase the limit for you.

Messages are charged based on the number of regular text messages that they contain: so for instance, a 250 character long message would need two text messages, at a cost of two Zygo credits for each recipient.
