When you send messages to your group through your ZygoHub, you pay for those messages with Zygo Credits. Each message sent out from the hub number to a hub member costs one Zygo Credit (See note below on Long messages). So, if your hub has five members and you send a message to the hub number, the hub will send out that message to everyone else in the hub - i.e. four people, costing four Credits. On the default Prepay plan, there are no monthly charges and rental of the hub number is absolutely free.

Some phones support long messages, which means that you can send a message that is longer than a single SMS (160 characters). Your phone does this by actually sending multiple single messages. Your ZygoHub also supports long messages, and if you send one in then it will be forwarded to all members as a long message, and the charge will be calculated on the number of single messages sent.

Every group message that is sent out from your ZygoHub has your name added to it, so that other people know who the message is from. In some situations this can mean that the message becomes a long message, and you will be charged accordingly.

If you do not wish you ZygoHub to accept long messages, then simply email us as support@zygocommunications.com and we will disable this feature, and truncate any long messages for you. Truncated messages will still be viewable in full on the web site.

When you buy Zygo Credits, you buy them for your hub, so anyone in the hub can use them up by sending messages to the group. On the hub’s billing page you can see how many credits each hub member is using and how many they are buying. Any member can chip in and buy Credits for the hub at any time.

You buy Zygo Credits for the hub using your credit or debit card. The more credits you buy, the less you pay per credit. Have a look at the Topup page to find out how much credits cost for your group.

When someone in the group sends a message to the ZygoHub the cost for them is the same as sending a regular text message to another UK mobile number. Nothing else will be charged to their ordinary mobile phone. One Zygo Credit will be debited from the ZygoHub’s balance for each person receiving the message.

On Zygo’s monthly plans someone needs to register their credit card for the regular monthly payments. You buy your monthly bundle in advance, and pay for any additional Credits used along with your next bundle the following month. Bundle Credits are only valid for one month from purchase, so you should try to use them all up each month. Topup credits are valid for six months from purchase. Even on a monthly plan, everybody in the group can still chip in and buy extra Top-Up Credits using their credit card, and take advantage of the lower top-up prices.
