Bob Spencer and group of friends created their ZygoHub group to enable them to keep in touch whilst on a skiing holiday in Austria.
“Although we were all staying in the same hotel, with a group of 13 people inevitably there were varying skiing abilities within the group and different ideas about activities each individual wanted to take part in during the holiday.
By saving the hub number on our phones we were able to text each other to inform others where in the resort we were skiing, to arrange where to meet for lunch, which bar we were visiting for a drink, what time everyone was to congregate for meals and to pass ideas around the group as to what activities should be done during the evenings.
Sending text messages to each member of the group separately would have been prohibitively time consuming and considerably more costly. Being able to send one message which would reach every member of the group meant the organisation of the holiday and group was significantly easier than previous years and, used in conjunction with our walkie talkies, phone bills were reduced.
Every member of the group enthused about the service and how easy it was to use. We also found it great fun using it to lampoon those who had made a particular fool of themselves during the holiday, be it with their skiing or bar antics.
This is a exceptionally useful tool in terms of its applications and also the fact that it helps users reduce costs. I shall be using it again.”
